THIS MOTHER’S DAY, I want to make a difference for a child, a girl, a future mother. I want to help be a force for positive change in the lives of young girls born into a less than ideal situation. I don’t need flowers. I don’t want presents. My dear children, give me a kiss, a hug, (breakfast in bed would be delightful too), and tell me that together we are making a difference in the life of someone who really needs and deserves a second chance. Because freedom and education are the key to lifting women, children, and all people out of oppression and religious bondage. On Mother’s Day, let us see how wide our motherly love and care can reach: across oceans, language barriers, and creeds.
