I am in the middle of reading The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-Term Health. Author Colin Campbell conducted one of the largest nutrition studies (that is still ongoing) ever in the world. He grew up on a diary farm eating animal products every day of his life. After his scientific research told him that eating animal products caused all the illnesses we have in wealthy nations, (sicknesses of affluence), he became a vegan. For 20 years now he has eaten vegan, lost weight, increased his energy and lowered his risk for cancer, diabetes, heart disease, auto immune diseases like arthritis and multiple sclerosis.
It is a compelling argument, full of scientific backing and research. It is so compelling in fact, that I challenge anyone who values science and the information that it grants us to read this and continue to eat animal products.
Reminded me of the meth campaigns: Not Even Once. Animal products cause MORE damage to the health of the US population than meth. But the slaughter and sale of animal flesh is legal and even subsidized by the government. It isn’t going away soon, but with scientifically backed education like the China Study, YOU can escape a prolonged, painful and expensive death that is caused by a lifetime eating animals products.
