What to make a four year old for his birthday? There are dino tails and forts, bean bag tosses and car launchers… but what would his mother like me to make for him? Probably something quiet, something he can play with on the go, in the restaurant, pretend quiet play… yes, that is what his mother might like. As much fun as dino tails are, maybe he’ll get one next year for his birthday, who knows!
The inspiration from this came from Jill over at HomemadebyJill. This is the inside when it is unfolded.
I made the pockets for the cars a little deeper to prevent them fallin out. The entire mat is about 2 inches wider and taller than Jill’s.

The denim I used was from a worn out pair of men’s jeans, so there are seams, which I think gives it a bit of character.
