Making Paci Clips and Toy Tethers

So you never thought you’d actually buy suspender clips for a sewing project, right?  Well this one will have you buying them by the 4 pack! ..or raiding your grandpa’s closet, either way… get your hands on some suspender clips because these pacifier clips and toy tethers make the perfect baby gift and are a must have for new parents.

You can see very easily how I made these, there is no need for a tutorial, just enjoy the gorgeous photos!

The most disgusting thing is going out someplace and having your baby loose their pacifier onto the floor.  Pin it to their shirt with a fun colored pacifier clip.  The best part about this style is that the suspender on both ends allow the clip to be attached both to the baby’s shirt and onto the pacifiers that don’t have a ring on them, like those hospital issued silicone ones that are best if you are breastfeeding (to avoid nipple confusion).

The next best thing is a toy tether.  I like to make mine with a velcro loop on one end and a suspender clip on the other.  This gives you lots of options when securing different types of toys to the stroller.  You can clip the tether to a plush toy and loop the velcro around a stroller part or you can loop the velcro around a toy and clip the tether to baby’s clothing or a fabric part of the stroller. Babies like to toss their toys overboard, but this way they can do so without loosing their toys forever or letting other people step on them and get them all dirty.

All you need to make this besides the suspender clips are some strips of velcro and tether material (along with a basic sewing machine and supplies).
